I think you meant the equation to be tan x = 3/5

In that case you just punch in your calculator (shift) tan (3/5) =      (this is just inverse tan)

You should get 30.9637.....

So that is one answer, but there is also another answer.

tan is positive in quadrants 1 and 3.  (3/5 is positive, so tan is positive in this case)
